What is the electronic government? Who is working towards electronic
government? And how can e-government improve delivery of government
services? This site is dedicated to providing answers to these and
other questions about e-government in the Netherlands.
This website has been developed for the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations
.
The site offers access to information about e-government and provides a
vast amount of information and knowledge about how aspects of
electronic government fit together. The website is managed and
maintained by Knowledge Centre (Kenniscentrum) at the Stichting ICTU
, the Dutch organisation for ICT in the public sector.
Further information is available by getting in touch (Dutch page) with Knowledge Centre.
8 January 2008 - Governmental bodies respond better and faster to complex e-mail queries from citizens and companies. This is the conclusion of the yearly survey of governmental e-mail achievements, conducted by Overheid heeft Antwoord©.
The percentage of complex questions answered within ten days increased by 19.1 points, yielding a score of 77.9%. The percentage of non-response cases decreased by no less than 38.5 points, to 19.7%. It is especially municipalities and water boards that score better in these respects.
When it comes to non-complex questions, the total shows an increase in speed of response, but here credit is due to ministries, whereas municipalities, provinces and water boards show a deterioration compared to 2006.
The yearly survey of e-mail conduct is part of the Government Monitor, which is performed by e-Government programme Overheid heeft Antwoord© for the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
