Atlas

The 'Atlas' offers information about the structure (or landscape) of electronic government in the Netherlands and forms the basis for development of the e-Government reference architecture. Both current and intended consistency between the requisite aspects for the realisation of e-government are identified here. The Atlas was developed for leaders/policy makers and ICT architects in government organisations but is also of interest to everyone else concerned with the e-Government landscape.
The Atlas contains extensive information, only part of which is translated into English. You can find English inofmration on the following issues:

  • e-Government Building Blocks: this section identifies the fundamental building blocks (or cornerstones) of e-government;
  • Reference Architecture (or interoperability framework): this section describes the reference architecture of Dutch e-government. This Dutch Government Reference Architecture or 'Nederlandse Overheids Referentie Architectuur' (NORA) was developed by architects, for architects. This section also contains several good practice examples of other information architectures.
